This particular event has always been a highlight of Biketoberfest for me. So, this year, on a picture perfect day, ValGal and I ventured north to Daytona to once again partake of the sights and sounds of this awesome display of bikes, babes, and, brotherhood!! It was a nice crowd, although, not as packed as regular Bike Week, making for a more relaxed atmosphere.
There was a very eye-catching display of ol’ skool custom scoots out front, while out back, Big Rick and the Troublemakers were stirring up the gang with their one-up style of sounds...good job Rick!! Food and drink vendors were handy, as were souvenir stands with event T-shirts and other assorted doo-dads. Back out front, MC, Roadside Marty was doling out his one-of-a-kind bantor trying to coax the tops off of as many babes as he could and he actually succeeded several times!!
Also, the shop was open, so, if you wanted some ink, you could get it! Several hand made, one-of-a-kind trophies were up for grabs to some lucky builder, and as always, there were pretty girls to help with the trophy presentations.
All in all, a fabulous day in the cool Florida sunshine!! Nice to see Don Rogers and Michael Lichter from Easyriders Magazine too. Good luck Willie; We're lookin’ forward to the show during Bike Week! Ride safe folks…
