What A Year It's Been
What a year it’s been!!! March 25, 2015 marks one year that will have passed since my heart attack and being diagnosed with Coronary Heart Disease. You'll quit hearing monthly updates after this. Since that morning, I have still not had a cigarette, I’m still eating healthy every day, I’m also exorcising every day and I’m also doing my best not to stress, although I’m still having trouble with that one, since I’ve been dealing with delayed recurrent PTSD since childhood and COPD Emphysema since 2010. Anyone inflicted with any disease understands, while anyone who doesn’t could never fully understand.
I was told 11 months ago on my recovery bed that those four lifestyle changes alone could mean the difference between life and death for me. Since I had no insurance and knew I wouldn’t be seeing a doctor anytime soon, I headed their advice and with amazing results but the fact is that I still have some limitations due to the last couple of heart meds I’m still on. I can’t get on my motorcycle very often because I suffer vertigo and dizziness from the meds among other side effects I’m dealing with. I also at times have uncontrolled bleeding from the blood thinners.
I don’t believe I’ve complained or whined about my recovery in the least. I believe I’ve been incredibly positive considering all things and I’ve even tried to educate, inform and help others along my path. The truth is that it was easy to be positive because I was just so happy to be alive and given another chance to raise my son and continue my plans to re-launch the Crossroads Crew!
Here is the fact: As a single father with shared parenting, recovering from Heart Disease and re-launching the coolest motorcycle magazine I or at least a few other people have ever seen or read is a daunting task at times. When I announced the return of Crossroads on March 17th, 2014, I had a definite plan of action. Waking up to a heart attack was not part of that plan. I did however manage to keep my word and we launched on time but I’ve suffered financially for it and am now asking for support for Crossroads and for me personally.
Folks, many of you know I’ve been through the ringer and back in recent years tying to get my life turned around and I’ve managed to pretty much do that except in one more area and that’s financially. Well folks, I need help and I’m no longer ashamed to admit it or ask for it. A couple of people had asked me about doing some sort of a fund raiser or charity event for me but I declined all the above for personal reasons but the truth is that I need all the help I can get right now.
My close friend Sherry Means talked me into letting her set up a GoFundMe site for those that would like to help and it turned out there were several people who wanted to do just that. I sincerely and humbly thank you all who donated it has already helped to ease the burden of medical expenses this month. If you would like to make a donation, you can go to the fund page directly at: www.gofundme.com/na9iag
Now here is my actual plea to you all, please let me offer you my services so I can get back to work full time… Please check out my other website for a complete overview of everything I do. www.CFLICKSvideo.com has samplings from professional video and television production to websites around the country that I designed and host.

If you’re in business of any kind, PLEASE buy at least a $20 ad to support us, even if it’s just to wish someone a Happy Birthday or Anniversary in our new Classified Section. Please help in whatever way you can. If nothing else, maybe offer a prayer or positive thought and a good word for there is so much power in positive thinking! Thank you everyone for the support and please support those that support us!!!
