Summer's Over... Have A Miserable Daytona Biketoberfest

The end of summer-(sic)-in Florida, means Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach. It was meant as a “smaller” version of Bike Week, but since, has outgrown this designation!!
What started out as a somewhat smaller party has now grown to something that very closely resembles the BIG party! Yeah, as attendance has jumped up, so have prices… just a fact of life, I guess!
We don’t concentrate on the downtown scene as much as the hoards. We prefer the out-lying areas; like Willie’s Ol’ School Bike Show and Coleslaw Wrestling at the Patch. Then there’s always the bikini contests at the White Eagle or maybe a stop-over at the No Name...
We just don’t feel like fighting all the Main Street traffic! Comes with old age! Besides, what has changed about downtown? Same old, same old... like I always said for years now. Old ladies and baby buggies cluttering up the side walks! Too many rules too. Who needs it, when there are many other good attractions out of town.
Don’t agree with me? That’s your privilege. No matter how you celebrate it, have fun and be careful!
